LudoWic is an artist that delivers an almost tactile audio-experience to his audience, thanks to his vintage synthesizers, analogue equipment and visuals by his own design. The raw, atmospheric music of this avant-garde performer is well-known from the soundtrack of the indie hitgame Katana ZERO, and is influenced by techno and ambient noise.

One of his latest projects is ‘Bits&Beats’, in cooperation with Dutch construction company Heijmans Infra. In this project LudoWic creates music from datasets gathered from highways, bridges and other infrastructures. Just recently he recorded new sounds in the Gaasperdammertunnel in the south-east of Amsterdam (which is 3 kilometers long), by placing a sound installation in the middle of the tunnel and running soundwaves through it. These data and sounds will also be incorporated in his liveshow at ADE. LudoWic is looking forward to be performing in De Kleine Komedie:  “This theater allows me to work with a whole new dynamic, and provides me with the technical means to create a whole new experience.”

The evening will be opened by established musician YAN (known for working with, amongst others, Wende, Spinvis, Ellen ten Damme, Hadewych Minis), who’ll be giving his first solo-performance in Amsterdam. YAN has won the Edison this year with Wende for ‘Best Album’. He creates live filmic music compositions wherein the vibraphone plays an important role, and adds percussion and analogue synthesizers. YAN solely produces biological beats, and will be assisted by classical pianist Xavier Boot. The show is prior to YANs first solo-album, which will come out in early 2020 at the respected indie-label Excelsior Recordings
